Setup a Wallboard to Log-on Automatically

Introduction

A common procedure used by customers is setting up a large screen that automatically logs onto OI and displays an analytic screen. This document details the tricks we have learned doing this.

Instructions

  1. Create a real time analytic template as appropriate.

  2. Create/nominate a “USER” an account to use for the wallboard. It must be a user account.

  3. Log in to OI as that USER.

  4. Navigate to Manage -> Accounts.

  1. Select a user and click “Details”.

  1. Select the “Open ID” string from the page and copy it.

  1. Add that “Open ID” to the login URL:

https://www.omniintelligence.online/Account/LoginOpenId?open_id=[the string from above]

Use this URL every time you want to automatically open up this analytic screen.

Things to Watch Out For

  • Caches/Proxies

  • Internet access (may be needed to get to logos)
